3 sessions from Mon 30 Mar 2026 [Show]
Join us for three fun mornings of reading and writing in the Easter holidays! Book one, two, or all three mornings and enjoy lots of reading, writing and book-themed craft fun.
9.30am-12.30pm at CAS Halls Studio
£40 per session
At RAW Books Camp, campers will:
* have screen-free school holiday fun
*build reading stamina
* expand writing skills toolkit
*make a book-themed craft!
For ages 8-11 (school years 4, 5 and 6), we'll cover loads of great grammar and vocabulary, read Dickens and Shakespeare and be inspired to write our own pieces. Small group size: maximum 12 children.
This holiday, we are theming the three mornings so each session is complete in itself, but builds if you attend the full three:
Day one: PLOT - all about murder and mayhem on the page
Day two: SETTING - develop your sense of place with inspiration from winter into spring
Day three: JOKES - looking at character and voice for April Fool's Day...
Please bring a snack (with NO NUTS), a water bottle, and a book to read. We will provide notebooks and pencils to all campers, but bring your pencil case as well if you would like.
PRAISE FOR PREVIOUS CAMPS:
'My daughter loved the camp and came home excited to continue writing.'
'Rebecca was amazing and my daughter can’t wait until the next camp.'
'Writing the Shakespeare witches' potion spells was my favourite!'
